Oracle Standby DB connectivity question

Question regarding Oracle Standby Databases.. versions 11-19. We are trying to plan a switch upgrade at our alternate data center where the standby database server resides. We know the standby db server (running aix v7) will lose network connectivity. We plan to stop replication on the primary side before the switch upgrade. Question is... once the switch upgrade is complete and the db server connects back up to the network, will the standby databases need to be 'bounced' before the primary DBs can start replicating again? This is simply for timing purposes.. wondering if we are going to have to figure in that time if they need to be bounced. Thanks in advance!!
