MYSQL connection from EXCEL VBA restricted permissions

I am trying to connect to a MYSQL database through VBA in Excel. I have been doing so with an administrator account without issue for some time. For security reasons, I wanted to do so with a MYSQL account with lesser permissions.

Driver/Provider for Sybase ASE Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5.2 (either ODBC or OLE DB)

I am trying to connect to a Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise Database version 12.5.2 which is really old. All I need is the odbc or OLE db drive to connect to it. Its no longer available on sybase website.
